Happy Halloween!

This is going to be a short one tonight because Hocus Pocus is on! Smile I didn’t indulge in candy or dress up this year.  I realize this makes me extremely lame haha.  But I am indulging in my love for Halloween by watching one of the classic holiday movies!

Anyone else love Hocus Pocus?

Today, I had to brace to cold temperatures and early morning frozen roads to head onto campus to work, work out and go to class. I have started walking to campus more often which may be silly considering the drop in temperature, but hopefully it will also lead to a drop in my weight!

I finished reading the New Rules of Lifting for Women, and I also continued the workouts in the book.  Today was Stage 1 Workout A for the second time, and I upped my weights on the lifts.  I am feeling pretty sore, but I don’t hate it! (Fez anyone?… I love That 70s Show.  You may not notice the reference if you haven’t seen every episode 2734 times like I have).  So far, I am loving the concepts in the book.  I would try to add some of the recipes into my life but I don’t really like a lot of them based on ingredients.  Once again, Picky Nikki at her finest.

I am also continuing to nurse my sore hip.  I am not sure if it is soreness or pain, but I am nursing it nonetheless!  Instead of running, I ellipticaled for 40 minutes. Still a good workout! Hoping the pain goes away ASAP!

Well, I can’t imagine a better way to end the month than with a Halloween movie and the following picture:

Thanks to my wonderful professor for that one! Smile

Enjoy your Halloween! Be ready for some goal updating tomorrow!

How did you spend your Halloween?

Any fun costumes? (Yours or someone else’s!)
