Happy Friday, everyone! Guess what I am doing this morning?!
Joining a new masters swimming program! I hope I like it as much as my one in Shippensburg! I’ve missed swimming!
But the real important part of this post:
I’ve asked all of my bridesmaids to be in my wedding! You may remember when I asked my junior bridesmaid, Makenna, with her Christmas present cake.
I saw all of the others over the holidays, and all five of the girls have accepted!
I asked them each with a poem and a purple ring. My wedding will for sure be purple
Here’s the poem I used:
The day, the dress
The bride, the groom
The joy, the tears
Will all come so soon
Professing true love
To my husband-to-be
With family and friends
All watching me
I hope the sun will
Be shining down,
Keep your fingers crossed
That I’ll fit in my gown…
But there’s just one more thing
that there needs to be…
and that’s to have you
Standing with me!
Will you be my bridesmaid?
Now, let me introduce the girls:
My maid of honor will of course be my sister, Christine!
And my cousin, Lindsay, said yes as well!
Here’s a picture of the there of us from over the summer:
Lindsay on the left, Christine on the right.
Next up: my best friend, Melissa. We have been friends since we started swimming together way back in the day! She is one of the few friends I still keep in touch with from high school, and I wouldn’t have it any other way than with her joining in my special day!
You may remember her from our recent trip to Ft. Lauderdale…but I’m going to show an oldie from out high school prom.
And the other two lucky ladies are Trav’s cousins, Kirstin and Logan. They already feel like my own cousins, and I am very excited to have them as part of the special day.
They’re the other two girls in that picture with me! And the two guys with Trav will be in the wedding, too! Eek!
The five of those girls along with Makenna make up the special ladies for my special day! Can’t wait to get to planning with them!
If you’re married, how many bridesmaids did you have?! If you’re not married, have you thought of who you might ask?!
